Muscle Power

Muscle power is another ancient form of energy that, with modern technologies and culture, can be harnessed to dramatically decrease the reliance of society on forms of energy that are less sustainable. The growing popularity of bicycles for commuting and errands is an excellent example. Other examples include technological advances in muscle-powered appliances such as pedal-powered washing machines, and the development of health clubs that double as electricity-generating power plants.
